Your Integrated Advising Coach focuses primarily on pre-major advising and career development and your Major Advisor focuses primarily on major advising.. Based on your responses, you and your IA Coach will develop a plan to help you meet your personal and professional goals.

Questions with asterisks are required. You can exit the survey and return at a later time if needed, just make sure you finish the page you are working on and click "Save and resume later" before you exit the survey or your responses might not be saved.

Your responses will also be aggreated (your identifying information will be removed and compiled with all other student responses) and shared with appropriate campus departments to design programs and opportunties that are responsive to the incoming class.

Academic Interests

Majors: A planned program of courses in a particular area of study. All students are required to declare a major by the second semester of their sophomore year (or after they have earned over 43 credit hours).

Minors: Optional, additional areas of study that require fewer courses than majors. Minors are a great option for students who want to gain knowledge and skills complementary to or divergent from their majors.

Important things to know:

  • Students must choose at least one major, may also choose to double-major or minor in other areas of study.
  • Minors are not required for all students.
  • As a first-year student, you may not know what you want to major in - and that's okay! Your Integrated Advising Coach will assist you in the exploration of a major.
