SAP Appeal Form: Financial Aid Suspension

The Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) appeal process required for students on FA suspension and is available because you:

1) Unsuccessfully completed a period of “Financial Aid Warning” during the previous semester at Warren Wilson College and

2) Are able to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards by the end of the requested “Financial Aid Probationary” period.

Please note: “Financial Aid Warning” periods are not available for two consecutive semesters.

Question 1: Why did you fail to make Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) during your last semester (FA warning period)?

Considering your FA Warning status for your previously enrolled semester, is there an explanation for your academic performance this past semester? Please be as detailed as possible in your typed response with dates and documentation to support your appeal.

Please note:If your academic difficulties were due to medical issues, please email or fax your third-party documentation of those issues to the WWC Financial Aid Office and please indicate whether those issues have been resolved. If your academic difficulties were due to personal issues, please email, fax, or upload to Net Partner some type of documentation of your situation from a doctor, counselor, or service professional outside of WWC to the WWC Financial Aid Office. If your supporting documentation includes Personal Identifiable Information, please contact the WWC Financial Aid Office.

Your request may be denied if you fail to demonstrate with documentation why you did not make SAP. It may also be denied if you do not show your ability detailed in your academic plan to make SAP or pass a minimum of 12 credits (without repeats) and not be on academic probation by the end of your FA probation period.
